Network Upgrades Boost Client Performance
Avoira Upgrades Network to Boost Client Performance
Avoira, a provider of IT Managed Services, has completed a major network upgrade at its Birchwood Park location, near Warrington. The first phase of this project is finished, bringing significant improvements in performance, reliability, and efficiency for its clients.
This upgrade involved a substantial investment in new core switches, bandwidth management systems, and advanced monitoring tools. These new systems support speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second (Gbps), eliminate network bottlenecks, and meet the growing demand for data traffic. The changes will lead to a better client experience through improved traffic shaping, network diagnostics, and quality-of-service (QoS) capabilities.
Key Enhancements
The new Bandwidth Manager provides advanced analytics for real-time traffic insights, which helps the company resolve issues faster and plan for future growth more effectively. Greater automation allows for more flexible service options tailored to each client. Dynamic bandwidth allocation ensures that critical traffic is prioritised, reducing latency and optimising speed without slowing down the overall network.
The new core switches reduce latency and jitter, which is especially important for services like voice-over IP (VoIP), video conferencing, and other collaboration tools. The network is also more resilient, thanks to features like link aggregation, redundancy management, and hot-swappable modules. This design eliminates single points of failure and allows for upgrades without interrupting service.
The new system’s modular architecture makes it easy to scale up as Avoira’s client base expands.
Avoira’s IT Services division provides a wide range of managed services to clients in both the private and public sectors across the UK. These services include 24/7 support, hardware management, and solutions for networks, radio, and audio-visual systems.
