Avoira is delighted to announce the success of its recent fundraising cake sale, held in support of Bury Hospice. The event, which took place on Tuesday, 3rd September 2024, at Avoira’s Head Office, saw employees and guests come together to enjoy a variety of delicious cakes while raising an impressive amount of funds for a cause close to the company’s heart.
The cake sale was part of Avoira’s participation in this year’s Corporate Challenge, a community-driven initiative aimed at supporting Bury Hospice. Thanks to the generosity of our employees and visitors, we raised £120.00 for the hospice, which will go directly towards helping them continue their vital work in providing compassionate care to those with life-limiting illnesses.
The event was filled with fun, laughter, and, of course, plenty of cake! Employees contributed, either by baking or purchasing cakes, and all proceeds were collected through donations on the day and via our online fundraising page.
As part of the festivities, Avoira also held an auction for two tickets to see comedian Paddy McGuinness, further adding to the excitement and raising additional funds for the cause.
Avoira would like to thank everyone who participated, donated, and helped organise the event.
