We’re delighted to announce that Avoira has been shortlisted in two categories at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce Excellence Awards 2026:
- People & Community Award
- Large Business of the Year
The recognition comes during a particularly significant year for Avoira as we celebrate 50 years in business, a milestone that reflects five decades of innovation, growth and commitment to supporting our customers, colleagues and communities.
The People & Community Award recognises organisations making a positive impact through community engagement and social responsibility. Over the past year, Avoira has continued to support initiatives that use technology to tackle digital exclusion and improve accessibility.
One project has been our partnership with Age UK Bury and Bury Blind Society, where we donated 50 Amazon Alexa devices to older and visually impaired residents. Alongside personalised support and accessible training materials, the initiative has helped people feel more connected, independent and confident.
Avoira has also been shortlisted for Large Business of the Year, recognising organisations that demonstrate strong business performance, innovation, leadership and positive impact across the region.
Commenting on the finalist announcement, Avoira Managing Director Dr Andrew Roberts said:

The winners will be announced at the GMCC Excellence Awards ceremony at Manchester Central on Friday 25 September.
